Homoclinic orbits for generic tight contact flows in S3
speaker: Gonzalo Contreras (CIMAT, Guanajuato)abstract: We prove that a generic tight contact flow in S3 has a hyperbolic periodic orbit with a transversal homoclinic orbit. When it is dynamically convex, generically every hyperbolic closed orbit has a homoclinic. We give applications to geodesic flows on surfaces.
