speaker: Miguel A. Cazalilla (Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC))abstract: Several aspects of the physics of low-dimensional quantum gases will be discussed. These include equilibrium properties (phase diagrams, excitation spectra, etc.) of highly anisotropic optical lattices, for both bosons and fermions, as well as non-equilibrium phenomena, such as the behavior of a quantum gas after a sudden change in the interaction parameters.
